Well, while I was 'out' of blog land, I did do a porch swap with Rondell from Tomatoe Creek Prims. I was one lucky girl in that one! lol Here is a pic of what she sent me...
When I recieved her package, I was so very excited about it....look at the primness! Better yet, a day or two later, I recieved a second package that had the welcome sign in it b/c it didn't fit in with the others. Sneaky Rondell, she didn't even tell me to expect something else! I don't have everything in its place yet, so here is a pic of it laid out on the wicker loveseat. At the top is a wonderful Old Farmhouse towel which will find it's place in my kitchen, the picture is a wonderful prim stitching done by Rondell -sorry about the glare, but it says Garden Thyme. Then there is the long welcome sign that snuck up on me, lol. It will go above my backdoor on the small porch I think. There is also a great little birdhouse done in a fab green color and a cute little watering can. My favorite had to be the flags....well, actually it's a wonderful flag garland! Perfect to hang across the porch to show my pride in America! I loved every thing she sent me- she did great with picking out prims to send! I love visiting her blog...her home is beautiful and she's a woman after my own primitive heart :o) Thanks a million, Rondell- I would swap with you anytime!Looking through my most recent uploaded pictures, I guess I will just have to post a few of our camp...for lack of anything else at the moment. It's at the back of the property and it's our little piece of paradise to escape to. Since I've taken these ones, our neighbor and her daughter have decorated it a bit more with some outdoor candles and a few little birdhouses. They live back behind our property and camp is actually closer to their house than ours.

Our quad and the tent....we actually don't really 'camp' there. At least we haven't yet. We love to just ride back there and cook out and relax....then we ride back and sleep in our own beds! lol Much more comfortable! lol

Not only can we find millions of years old fossils on our property, but we also have found several arrowheads and tons of pieces of them. There is a book at our library that has a bit of info of the history of our area, and our road used to be a wagon trail. Because of the location of the creek, our fields were prime for the indians to camp and hunt. There was even an archeology group here a few summers ago that set up and did some digging for artifacts. Never did find out what all they found.
I guess it's out to the garden I go. I see that we have 2 yellow squash ready for harvesting. The cukes, zucchini, and tomatoes are not far behind. I think there may be a few banana peppers ready also by the looks of it. Hope you all have a great day!
