Just a quick post for today...#1 son has football equiptment hand-out this morning and we are meeting my SMIL, SIL, BIL for lunch this afternoon. My SIL and BIL came down from NY on Thursday for a few days visit. They rode their Harley and did arrive wet! lol They said it definately wasn't the first time riding in the rain :) It is normally a 5 hour drive the way I usually go, but I believe they took a different route and took their time w/stops and all. I couldn't imagine sitting on a bike that long! They left their place at 11 AM and didn't arrive here until 7 PM I think! We have had a nice visit so far and I think they are leaving this afternoon, so I wanted to get a quick post up to get me closer to my 100th. Only 2 more to go until I post my giveaway! Uh-oh...better get to work! lol
Back in May, I did a swap with Rondell from Tomatoe Creek Prims. A few posts back, I had posted a pic of what she had sent to me- some wonderful primitive items! I also mentioned that I had forgotten to take a pic of the items I had sent to her- until I had put the last piece of tape on her package. She has posted pics of the things I made on her blog, so I snagged a few this morning to show you :) Thanks Rondell!
This is a set of 4 coasters that I stitched for her. Love the quaker design. I'm sorry, but I can not remember for the life of me where I found it online. I know it was a freebie. Silly Rondell, she said she is afraid to use them for fear she would mess them up! lol I purposely did not coffee age them (even thought I really wanted to!) b/c I was afraid that if I did, any ring spots from a nice cold glass of lemonade or iced tea would watermark them. So I told her to live it up and get some use out of them! lol They look great in her home (she has a beautiful home and I don't care what she takes a picture of- her home compliments ANYTHING! )
And here are some long pillows I stitched up for her. I can't remember what the size was, but I free-handed the lettering on a piece of graph paper (is that really called free-hand when you use an eraser? lol) and stitched them up for her. She has them displayed in a nice basket- one which she thinks is too big for them, but I think they look perfect there! A big THANKS to Rondell for posting the pics on her blog- I know she has been really busy the past few weeks and I am grateful that she took the time to show some items I was so very happy to make for her :)
Well, the boys are finishing up getting ready to go, so I'd better get myself ready too! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
