Freebie for You!

About a year ago, I was in a crafting slump and just could not bring myself to sew or stitch. So I decided to mess around with some graphics. I really liked the jar tags that I had seen for sale, so I decided to make one of my own. I found a free program online and started messing around. I took a picture of one of my old blue Ball jars, put it into the program, and then worked on it for DAYS! I couldn’t tell you how I did it, but I think I ended up getting a pretty good graphic from it. I offered it as a giveaway when I had them done. I found one of these tags not long ago, and sent it along tied to a pillow for one of my customers (Thanks, C!) and she was kind enough to thank me for the tag too! lol It got me thinking, why not share it with you, the wonderful friends who come back again and again, to see what I am up to?

I sometimes get bummed because I don’t get many comments, but I have noticed that I have been getting new ‘followers’ on here, so I know SOMEONE is reading! I also have to take into account that knowing my blogging situation is this- I use Mozilla, and for some odd reason, I can not comment on some blogs- it depends on how the blog is set up to accept comments. It has to be what they call a separate ‘pop up window’ or I can not comment from Mozilla. So then I have to switch over to Internet Explorer to be able to comment on those blogs. It’s a bit confusing to remember who’s blog I can comment on, and who’s needs to be commented on from IE…lol. So I have been TRYING to remember to open up IE to leave comments on blogs too. I really don’t know who else out there has this same problem, so there may be some who can not comment because of the same situation I am in. So, with that being said, I want to thank you girls who DO leave comments on a regular basis- I do notice! And for those who don’t and just read, THANKS to you, too!

Here is a picture of the tags I made from my graphic

PA060217_01

I did these tags 3 different ways. The first tag was printed on cardstock, cut out and then I put it on a store bought tag with the sticky foam pieces…for a 3-D effect. I think this way was my favorite. The second tag was done by just tracing around one of the graphics on the sheet- I just taped the sheet to a window and used one of the store bought tags as a template. Then cut it out and punched the hole. The 3rd tag I think I just printed it on regular printer paper, cut it out and glued it on a store bought tag. I did have one person ask me if the graphic could be printed on a sheet of vellum and then cut out for a see-thru effect (which would allow you to place it over a small picture to look like it was in the jar)….that I do not know. I don’t have any vellum, but if you can print on it, then my guess is yes, it would work!

So here they are…

JarTags

I am hoping that you can click on them to bring them up in a new window, then right click to save them. I’ll have to test it out once I publish this….if you have any problems, shoot me an email, and I’ll see if I can help you out – chrstnshe@yahoo.com

Thanks for reading!

Your tags turned out beautiful and thanks for the graphics...just gorgeous.

I know I follow you and try and comment when I can - it must be a pain working through two different sources.

Christine,
Do you have a counter on your blog? You would be amazed at the number of visits you get in a day, even the number of people on-line at any given time...and yet, you might get 3 comments. A lot of people will read and follow your blog for MONTHS but never comment...I used to comment on every blog I read but it got a little overwhelming as my Blog Roll list grew and grew...lol I often read but don't comment...

As for your Mozilla thing, you probably have it set so all pop-up's are blocked. I'm one of those that has my comments open as a pop-up. I can see mine and post to others. You'll have to look through your settings...It's an easy fix :)

Love the jars graphics. I love simple old blue, Mason jars :)

Have a great day!

Hi Christine;
I have been reading your blog for several months now, just don't always comment. I bought one of your harvest tucks, which I still have out because I love it so much. I know what you mean though, the comments let you know you aren't just talking to yourself.
Thanks for the tags!
