I mentioned my desire to find a set of drawers to store my threads in. Well, I looked and looked all over the internet for something that would work and would look better than my plastic case. I found some tea boxes that were promising, and the prices weren’t horrible, but I was still undecided as to what I wanted. I’m sure glad that I didn’t jump the gun! I was sitting here thinking, ‘something with drawers….something with drawers’ and happened to look through the doorway, into the living room and about fell over! All I can say is DUH!
What is up on that shelf?
This!
Which was easily turned into this!
9 drawers!
I really don’t think it really has much more storage space than my plastic case, but hey…beggars can’t be choosers! lol It’s much better looking! It should satisfy me for a little while, until I can find something bigger.
I also wanted take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to those who purchased my offerings from last weekend! I am still finishing up a few of the ones I took orders for, but hope to have all of those in the mail tomorrow for you! If you look at the pictures above, you can see another stack of UFO’s (un-finished objects/offerings) – some of which I hope to have up for sale this week. I have to head up to the office today to finish out my paperwork for the week and will make a stop at Joann’s and Michaels to use up some coupons and pick up some more supplies for some new projects. I’m also excited to finally have a little time to stop in at a little quilt shop that an online friend told me about, and hope to find some blue and brown calico prints. That little shop has been there as long as I can remember, but in the past when I’ve looked, I’ve never seen the cars parked out behind it. I assumed, a long time ago, that it had closed. I’m thankful for Kelley letting me know that it hasn’t!
So that is my plan for this afternoon, and plans for this evening will be stitching, stitching, probably more stitching, and crossing my fingers… packaging! The boys and I sat here at the computer the other evening and watched Ghost Adventures (from the History channel, I think)….5 episodes of it on Netflix Instants! Well, I watched while I was stitching :-) I put them off yesterday when they wanted to continue watching it, because I was at points in my projects that I had to be getting up and down too much in between stitching- going to the basement to check on paint drying, making dinner, etc. I didn’t want to miss any good parts of the shows! lol So I will probably give in and we can watch a few more episodes of that tonight- it’s pretty interesting. They give a lot of history on the places that they go to. So that’s about it for me…what are you up to this weekend?

Hi Christine!....isn't it funny how a solution was staring at you the whole time?....I've had that happen to me before too....the apothecary cabinet looks like a wonderful place to store your floss!
Enjoy your weekend, I'm hoping to get a little wall cupboard that hubs made sanded and stained this weekend so that's what I'm hoping to do along with watching NASCAR of course!

I need to redo some storage items and was thinking I should look around to see what I have first.
