Blog-aversary Giveaway

It’s finally put together!  I just celebrated my 3 year Blog-aversary and I have been working on a piece I created and stitched- just for this occasion! 

First of all, I would like express my gratitude to all of you for reading my ramblings and feeling compelled to take a moment to leave some wonderful comments and emails.  I do not thank you enough for doing it!  I love having this blog and being able to share this part of my life with others who really appreciate it.  Thank you to all of my fellow bloggers who inspire me to create and thank you to the friends I have made from this.

I am only offering this giveaway to those that live in the lower 48 United States.  Not to take anything away from those elsewhere, but shipping can be expensive.

This is what I have put together to celebrate with!  One lucky winner will receive these items (minus the shelf and the Baby’s Breath -which would fall apart in shipping!  Sorry, just wanted to show you what it could look like all together.)

 

This is a piece I designed and stitched for this giveaway.  It is stitched one over two in tones of tan, brown, and a touch of blue.  I stitched it on tea colored linen and backed it with a deep blue flowered fabric and it measures approximately 6 inches by 6 inches.  I rag stuffed it and added a jute hanger with rusty safety pins that are easily removed if desired.  It will come signed by me and dated.

That piece inspired me to put it with a few true farmhouse gatherings.  An 8 inch blue hanging star, one old  6 inch chipped wooden bowl, a little wooden candle holder pained dark blue and distressed with a little faux candle ring, and a set of 4 of the grubby candles that I dipped myself.  3 will come tied in a bundle, and the 4th will be for in the holder.  Also included is a Friend stitchery that I stitched from a pattern by Pineberry Lane.  It is stitched on even weave in both one over one and one over two fashion and I placed it in a 5x7 distressed black frame (the word Except is intentionally misspelled in keeping with the original verse from 1819).  I had sold a few of these on my selling blog, and had made one extra.  I was going to keep it myself, but I wanted to make this an extra special gathering- enough to fill up a shelf!

 

This gathering looks great on any little shelf.  (Again, sorry that this thrift store rescue is not included…I have other pieces that I display on it)
